I will then design a treatment program that’s just right for you. This personalized treatment program consists of herbal, dietary and lifestyle recommendations that will get you on the path to wellness.

First appointment - I get to know your unique situation and individual needs, 60 minute meeting.
Second appointment - We go over your personalized treatment plan together, 90 minute meeting.

Three month and longer term programs are available to support you in your health goals which include consultations in person, by phone, and Skype.

To book your appointment email Monique at Monique's Email Address or call 847-456-6644.

What is Ayurveda?
Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago and is often called “The Mother of All Healing”.
Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life, right thinking, diet, lifestyle and the use of herbs which together bring the body back into balance so that it can heal itself.
Mom was right, each of us is special. Ayurveda treats each person individually based on the person’s unique constitution (Dosha). Although five people may see an Ayurvedic practitioner for the same symptoms they may require five different treatment methods. With Ayurveda it is important to find the root cause of each person’s symptoms to be able to treat that person properly.

What is a Dosha?
In Ayurvedic medicine, one’s individual body type is called a dosha. The doshas reflect the six elements in nature, called vata (air & ether), pitta (fire & water) and kapha (earth & water).
Each person can be viewed as a unique combination of these three doshas with different proportions of each element occurring within us.
Once you know your body type (vata, pitta or kapha), it’s like having a roadmap that points you in the right direction to bring yourself back into balance to become your best self, so that you can fulfill your potential and experience more joy.
